The «Réunion des Sciences de la Terre »

Organized since 1973 on behalf of the Société Géologique de France, the Meeting of Earth Sciences (RST) is a conference that typically brings together about 600 researchers and students (amongst them 15% foreigners) over a period of 5 days.

The RST 2014 proposes 10 themes encompassing all disciplines of geosciences,  from deep Earth to superficial envelopes and planetary bodies. This congress also aims at favoring contacts between scientists from different research fields. In particular, it brings to many doctoral students the opportunity of a first public presentation of their work.

Along with academic work, the RST 2014 will also provide the opportunity to host a "Jobs in Geosciencesforum and for the first time a "Understanding and teaching Geosciences" forum

Finally, by focusing on the contribution of Geosciences to resource, pollution or storage problematics, the RST 2014 is positionned as an actor of current societal evolution.
